So we all know the kotaku commenting section has been going downhill for a while now, getting a bad rep across the Internet and deservedly so. I blame partly on the awfulness of Kinja and how whoever planned it thought that good comments would get replies, and not the opposite.

Until today's post http://kotaku.com/5940782/ea-says-theyre-not-killing-single+player-games I hadn't realized that Mirror's Edge online would be great. EA should go ahead and make ME2 a primarily online game. While I'm at it, throw Kinect in the mix.

Playing easy mode is just like skipping every cutscene on a first playthrough. Nothing wrong with either, I'm all for giving the player more control over how they play with a game, but you are leaving out a substantial part of the game.

I may be totally wrong here, but I think maybe part of the reason we see so many zombie games, as well as so many first person games, it is because these take less work. I don't mean to call developers lazy, I can only imagine the amount of work it takes to get a proper game released.
